They may have public liability event insurance already, covering for damage to people or property, in which case you may not require that. But it’s less likely that they will have cancellation insurance or insurance for specialist items that you might use for your event. This is required by law if you are running a limited company and employing anyone other than family members. You may also need to have this even if it is a one-off event and the people working for you aren't employees.
